Locations and zones

Remove a zone

Stop a zone you no longer need, free its seat, and undo the removal within 30 seconds if it was a mistake.

Before you begin

Removing a zone is how you stop paying attention to a space you no longer play music in. It is deliberate on purpose: the action lives in Zone settings, asks you to confirm, and gives you a short window to undo.

Removing a zone does not change what you pay. Your plan keeps its paid seat count until you lower it on the Billing page.

You will need

  • You are an Account Admin. Location managers and zone managers can open Zone settings but cannot remove zones.
  • You know which zone to remove. Removal stops that zone's music at the venue right away.
01

Open the zone's settings

In the Beat Breeze dashboard, open Locations and select the zone. Its Control room opens.

At the bottom of the Control room, choose Zone settings.

02

Choose Remove zone

Scroll to the bottom of Zone settings. Account Admins see the Remove zone section on every tab.

Choose Remove zone, read the confirmation, then choose Remove zone again to confirm. If you are not an Account Admin, the section shows a note instead of the action.

03

Undo within 30 seconds if needed

After removal, a message confirms the zone was removed and offers Undo for 30 seconds. Choose Undo to restore the zone with its player and schedules intact.

Undo needs a free seat. If every seat on your plan is in use, add a seat on the Billing page first, then restore.

Confirm it worked

What success looks like

  • The zone no longer appears under its location and its player has paused.
  • The freed seat shows on the Billing page, ready to reuse or to release from your plan.
  • If the removal was a mistake, Undo restored the zone with its player pairing and schedules.

Troubleshooting

I do not see Remove zone in Zone settings

Only Account Admins can remove zones because each zone is part of the subscription. Ask an Account Admin on your account to do it. If you opened the zone from a Set up player prompt, open it again from Zone settings in the Control room.

I see Support sessions are read-only

You are viewing the account through a Beat Breeze support session, which cannot change anything. Ask the account's Account Admin to remove the zone from their own login.

The Undo message is gone and I need the zone back

The 30-second Undo is the only self-serve way to restore a removed zone today. Contact Beat Breeze support with the zone and location names. The player pairing and schedules are kept after removal, so restoring is possible.

Tell us what is happening in your venue
