Before you begin
The dashboard and the room can temporarily tell different stories. When connectivity drops, a player may still be playing downloaded music even though live controls cannot reach it.
Prepare your installed Player while it is online. The tutorial demonstrates the Android Player; the iPhone and iPad Player uses the same controls. Readiness belongs to the individual device, so check each venue Player before relying on its saved music.

How Offline Playback Works in Beat Breeze
Watch the walkthrough, or continue with the complete written steps below.
Enable automatic saving for the zone
In the dashboard, open Locations, select your zone, and open Zone settings. Keep music available offline is on by default. While the paired Player is online, it saves the zone's current music and playlists used by its assigned schedule in the background.
Allow time for downloads to finish after connecting a Player or changing its music. Turning on the setting alone does not mean music is ready on the device.
Check ready tracks and storage on the installed Player
On the Android, iPhone, or iPad Player, open Player settings. Under Saved automatically, check how many tracks are ready. Keep the device connected until the music you need has finished preparing.
Under Offline storage, select a limit available on your device or As available. Beat Breeze preserves at least 1 GB of free device storage. Available limits depend on the device, and manual downloads count toward the limit without being automatically removed.
Optionally download additional playlists
A manager can open the zone's Player & access tab and enable Choose a different playlist under What staff can do on the player. This makes the account's own playlists and bookmarked catalogue playlists available on the Player.
On the installed Player, open Change music and use Download for offline to save an additional playlist. Let the download finish while online. These extra downloads are optional; automatic saving already follows the zone's current music plan.
If the playlist choices are missing, check the manager permission and whether the playlist belongs to the account or has been bookmarked. If downloads cannot finish, restore connectivity and check available device storage.
Understand what happens when the connection drops
The installed Player can show Playing offline and continue using music already saved on that device. The ready-track count shows what is available locally. Music that has not finished downloading cannot be fetched during an outage.
Keep the Player powered and running. New dashboard music or schedule changes need connectivity to reach the device.
If you use the Web Player
The separate Web Player also prepares music automatically. Open Player settings and check Offline playback for the current buffer status before relying on it during an outage.
Use the same browser profile on the venue device. Browsers manage their own storage, and clearing site data removes saved music. Check the buffer again after changing browser profiles or clearing data.
Check the room before touching the player
Ask someone on site whether music is still audible and whether it sounds normal. If it is, preserve playback while the network is restored.
Restore power and network around the player
Check the venue device, router or access point, and any wired network path. Do not use a dashboard offline badge as the only reason to power-cycle a player that remains audible.
Reopen Beat Breeze Player only when needed
If the room is silent and the device is reachable, reopen Beat Breeze Player and keep it in front. A browser may require Tap to start sound after a restart or device wake.
Confirm the player resynchronizes
When connectivity returns, confirm the dashboard can see the player and that any music or schedule changes made during the outage have reached the zone.
Confirm it worked
What success looks like
- The room remains audible during recovery whenever downloaded playback is available.
- The player returns online without losing its zone pairing.
- Dashboard controls and venue playback agree after the connection returns.
